Hi Everyone:

Things are happening with the Mississippi Whitewater Park Project:

The MN DNR Funding requests was approved in the MN House last Thursday on the floor after some last minute changes and game playing. I haven't heard that the Senate has approved anything as of today. Your letter, e-mail and phone calls are still needed
Contact your reps today-don't know who your reps are? Go to www.leg.state.mn.us

Outdoor Adventure Expo
We had a great time at the Midwest MT. Outdoor Adventure Expo. Thanks to Bill T., John K, Chad, Mike F, Todd F, Gus, Margy, Mark T, David S, and Laura L for helping staff the booth and setup and tear down.
Special Thanks to Bob Sass at Midwest for getting our group a great location and Jody from Inland Sea Kayaks for providing the supplies I forgot for the setup and hanging things. Thanks Bob and Jody!!
Thanks to Midwest for the booth space and including a article about the WW Park project in their event paper for 25,000 folks to see.
We spoke with over 250 people who signed the Thank You letters we sent to the Minnesota congressional delegation and had lots of others stop by and ask when this thing will be built so they can paddle and bring their friends.
Many of them promised to e-mail, write or call their state reps and ask their support for the project. I think many of them did, with what happened last week in the MN House.
